Part 1 - Topical Preparations
In this hands-on class we will focus on Infused Oils, Salves, Liniments & Poultices. Learn various methods of making these herbal preparations and what they are best used for.
In this hands-on class we will make an infused oil for participants to take home and make a first aid salve with. We will talk about salve making, poultices and their uses. During class participants will create a liniment formula of their choosing. Leave feeling confident in making these medicines at home with 1 new herbal preparation for your home apothecary and a potent infused oil to start making salves with. Detailed handouts with recipes included!
We will take a break in the middle of class to chat & grow our herbal community with an opportunity to walk in the gardens. Please bring a snack if needed, a water bottle (which you can refill), and anything you need to take notes.

COVID precautions - we will be inside for most of the class, so please bring a mask to wear when indoors if you will feel more comfortable. Check-in with yourself a couple of days prior to the class. If you have been around anyone with COVID-19 in the past 2 weeks or are feeling unwell, please stay home to rest and let us know us know you will be unable to attend. As the class date nears, we will adjust these precautions according to current CDC guidelines.
